Russian Officials Offer Armored Vehicles to Ukraine's Surrender Hotline

Russian soldiers calling Ukraine's "I Want to Live" surrender hotline are offering to hand over equipment and heavy armored vehicles. The hotline allows Russian soldiers to pre-arrange a surrender and receive treatment under the terms of the Geneva Convention. The hotline received a record number of calls in March, with fears of a counter-offensive expected from Ukraine this Spring. Ukrainian soldiers are already using interesting Russian heavy armored vehicles on the battlefield. The hotline has been a major success since its launch in September 2022, with over 3,500 appeals received by mid-November.
