Russian Drone Attack on Ukraine Leads to Drone Crash in Romania

Romania discovered a drone crater near its border with Ukraine following a Russian attack on Ukrainian port infrastructure. The Romanian defense ministry stated that the drone crash was a result of the attack. In response, Romanian F-16 fighter jets and German Eurofighter Typhoon planes conducted surveillance of Romania's airspace. Russia and Ukraine have not yet commented on the incident. Since July, Russia has been targeting Ukrainian ports and warehouses near Romania, prompting Romania to strengthen its air defenses and increase military presence in the area. NATO, of which Romania is a member, has not found evidence of deliberate attacks on Romania.
