Putin Warns Western Tanks in Ukraine Are "Priority Target" for Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared that foreign-made tanks are a "priority target" for Russian forces in Ukraine, while warning that the supply of Western weaponry to Kyiv will not change the course of the war. Putin's comments came in response to France's decision to supply Ukraine with long-range cruise missiles. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden stated that Russia had already lost the war in Ukraine and expressed hope that the ongoing counteroffensive by Ukrainian forces would push Moscow to the negotiation table. Biden also pledged that Ukraine would eventually join NATO, despite the lack of a membership timeline at the recent NATO summit. Putin reiterated his opposition to Ukraine joining the defense bloc, stating that it would threaten Russia's strategic interests.
