North Korea Escalates Trash Balloon Campaign Against South Korea

North Korea has sent more balloons filled with trash into South Korea, continuing a campaign in retaliation for South Korean activists' anti-North Korean leaflet launches. Around 90 balloons carrying cigarette butts, paper, and plastic bags have been reported, with citizens advised not to touch them. The South Korean military has decided not to shoot down the balloons to avoid escalating tensions.
