Mossad foils Iranian plot in Cyprus, captures key leader

Israel's Mossad intelligence agency announced that it carried out an operation in Iran to capture the suspected leader of an Iranian plot to attack Israeli businesspeople in Cyprus, successfully foiling the attack. The captured suspect, Yousef Shahabazi Abbasalilu, confessed to receiving instructions and weapons from senior officials in Iran's Revolutionary Guards. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that Israel will continue to defend itself against any threats, including Iran's alleged nuclear ambitions, regardless of any nuclear deal between the United States and Tehran.
