Malaysia credits Hamas for assisting Thailand with hostages

Malaysia has stated that Thailand expressed gratitude for their assistance in securing the release of Thai nationals held captive by Hamas. The Malaysian prime minister credited the wisdom of Hamas, with the help of Egypt, for securing the safe release of the hostages. The two leaders also discussed forming task forces to enhance bilateral cooperation in various areas, including tourism, trade, food security, agriculture, and border security. They also discussed the construction of a second bridge between the border towns and increasing efforts to prevent illegal hunting.
