Lawmakers have expressed concerns about Turkey's aggression towards Greece and Cyprus, as well as its treatment of Kurdish allies. Senate Foreign Relations Chair Bob Menendez said he is in talks with the Biden administration and may lift his hold on the sale if Turkey's aggression ceases. The sale could be approved if Greece receives advanced F-35 warplanes and gains a military advantage over Turkey.
