EU Boosts Security Assistance to Ukraine with €3.5B Increase in EPF Ceiling

The Council of the EU has increased the overall financial ceiling of the European Peace Facility (EPF) by €3.5 billion, allowing for continued and enhanced security assistance to Ukraine. This decision demonstrates the EU's enduring commitment to military support for Ukraine and other partner countries. The EPF has already provided Ukraine with seven security assistance packages totaling €3.6 billion, and the EU has allocated additional funds for ammunition supply and production of artillery rounds. The EPF also supports other partner countries in strengthening their resilience and stability. Since the start of the Russian aggression, the EU has provided Ukraine with aid totaling about €70 billion, including over €10 billion in security assistance.
