"Escalating Tensions: Latest Developments in Russia-Ukraine Conflict"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and Pope Francis during his visit to Italy. Zelensky stated that the first important steps of a military counteroffensive against Russian forces will be taken soon. At least 21 people were injured in Russian attacks on the western Khmelnytskyi region of Ukraine, and two people were killed and 10 others were wounded in Russian shelling of the eastern city of Kostiantynivka. An explosion was heard in the suburbs of the eastern city of Luhansk, occupied by Russian forces, one day after the city was struck by two missiles. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni pledged unwavering support to Ukraine, saying Italy was ready to support its partnership with NATO.
