Argentina Holds Iran and Hezbollah Responsible for 1990s Terror Attacks on Israeli Targets
The Federal Court of Criminal Cassation in Argentina ruled that Iran and Hezbollah were responsible for the 1994 AMIA and 1992 Israeli embassy bombings, citing their involvement in planning, financing, and executing the attacks. High-level Iranian officials and Hezbollah operatives have Interpol arrest warrants for suspected involvement. The court also found that former Argentine officials had tampered with evidence and covered up the true culprits of the crime. President Javier Milei's office celebrated the ruling, emphasizing that it put an end to decades of delays and cover-ups. However, some feel that the whole truth has not yet come out, as much evidence has been lost and destroyed.
