"EU Imposes Sanctions on Chinese Companies for Supporting Russia"

The European Union has imposed a new round of sanctions on Russia, targeting companies in mainland China suspected of aiding the Kremlin in obtaining prohibited items, as well as firms worldwide providing Russia with advanced technology and military goods. The sanctions also focus on Russian-operated institutions re-educating children kidnapped from Ukraine. The package, which includes nearly 200 people and entities, aims to degrade Putin's war machine and combat sanctions evasion. Despite some hurdles, the penalties were approved ahead of the symbolic deadline marking two years since Russia invaded Ukraine.
