Alleged Ukrainian Plot to Overthrow Georgian Government Unveiled

The State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) has accused a senior Ukrainian official, Giorgi Lortkipanidze, of plotting to overthrow the Georgian government by organizing mass unrest. The SSG claims that the plot is being coordinated and funded by a foreign country. Tensions between Georgia and Ukraine have been escalating, with Ukraine demanding the release of Georgia's ex-President Mikhail Saakashvili, who is currently jailed in Georgia. The SSG alleges that Georgian fighters in Ukraine, including Saakashvili's bodyguard and a member of his inner circle, are among the conspirators being trained near Ukraine's border with Poland. The plot is said to coincide with upcoming European Commission decisions on Georgia's EU membership application.
