UN urges Taliban to halt public executions and punishments in Afghanistan

The Taliban has defended its actions, stating that Afghanistan's laws are made in accordance with Islamic rules and guidelines. The U.N. has condemned the Taliban's actions, calling them a violation of the Convention against Torture.
