U.N. Experts Slam Flawed Investigation into Johnny's Sex Abuse

United Nations human rights experts have criticized talent agency Johnny & Associates for its inadequate handling of sexual abuse allegations against its late founder, Johnny Kitagawa. The experts expressed doubts about the transparency and legitimacy of the third-party investigation team set up by the agency. They called on the Japanese government to conduct a more thorough investigation into decades of suspected abuse against male idols. During their visit, the experts met with representatives of the talent agency and members of Johnny's Sexual Assault Victims Association.
