Israeli military forensic teams examining the bodies of victims from last week's Hamas attack on communities around the Gaza Strip have reported finding multiple signs of torture, rape, and other atrocities. Around 1,300 bodies have been brought to an army base in Ramla for identification and forensic checks, with around 90% of military dead identified so far. The teams have observed dismembered bodies, beheadings, and cases of rape. Hamas has denied the accusations of abuse. The attack by Hamas gunmen on October 7th resulted in the abduction of over 120 Israelis and foreigners, leading to Israeli airstrikes and artillery bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
