German Man Arrested for Alleged Russian Espionage

A German national working for a government agency that equips the German armed forces has been arrested on suspicion of spying for Russia. The man allegedly passed information to the Russian intelligence service after approaching the Russian Consulate General and Embassy on his own initiative. He was remanded in custody after being brought before a Federal Supreme Court investigating judge. This follows the arrest of another German citizen working for the country's foreign intelligence service on charges of spying for Russia.
