Wildfire smoke prompts air quality alerts in Maine and New Hampshire.

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection has issued an Air Quality Alert for Sunday, June 25, due to expected high levels of particle pollution caused by smoke from fires in Quebec. The alert warns that children, healthy adults who exert themselves, and individuals suffering from respiratory diseases such as asthma, bronchitis or COPD may experience reduced lung function and irritation.
