The city of Maoming in southern China has issued a warning to residents to stay away from bodies of water as dozens of crocodiles escaped from a farm during severe flooding caused by back-to-back typhoons. Authorities are struggling to locate and capture the missing Siamese crocodiles, with more than a dozen found so far but potentially over 50 still on the loose. Police, firefighters, and emergency responders are conducting a search using underwater sonar equipment, and paramilitary forces have been authorized to shoot any crocodile that emerges from the deep-water zone.
