'Adipurush' faces backlash for controversial portrayal of Hindu deities

Several political parties, including the Congress, AAP, and Shiv Sena, have criticized the film Adipurush for its portrayal of Lord Hanuman and its use of "tapori" language. The BJP has demanded a temporary suspension of the film's screening in theaters. The film, which stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh, has also been criticized on social media for its poor VFX and colloquial dialogues. The film's writer, Manoj Muntashir Shukla, has come under fire for Lord Hanuman's dialogues in the 'Lanka Dahan' sequence, among others.
