"Vatican Museums Unveil Ancient Roman Necropolis for Public Exploration"

The Vatican has opened a new entrance to the Via Triumphalis Necropolis, an ancient Roman burial ground known as the "city of the dead." Previously accessible only to select groups, the necropolis will now be open to the public for an exhibition titled "Life and Death in the Rome of the Caesars." The archaeological area spans approximately 1,000 square meters and contains tombs dating from the first to the fourth century AD, providing insights into the lives and rituals of the deceased.
