Tens of thousands of ancient bronze coins, dating from the first half of the fourth century, have been discovered off the coast of Sardinia near the town of Arzachena. The coins, found in sea grass, are estimated to number between 30,000 and 50,000. The coins are in excellent condition, with even the damaged ones still having legible inscriptions.
