"Shipwreck Discovery: Ancient Coin Trove Unearthed off Sardinia's Coast"

Tens of thousands of ancient bronze coins, dating from the first half of the fourth century, have been discovered off the coast of Sardinia. A diver alerted authorities, leading to the retrieval of the coins by divers from Italy's culture ministry. The coins, estimated to number between 30,000 and 50,000, are in excellent condition, with even the damaged ones still having legible inscriptions. The find is considered one of the most important coin discoveries in recent years and suggests the presence of a shipwreck in the area.
