Winter Storm Warning and Snowfall Totals: Impact Day in Michigan

A winter storm warning has been issued for the Upper Peninsula, with heavy lake-effect snow expected to bring six to 12 inches of snowfall. Southeast Lower Michigan, including Ann Arbor and Detroit, will also experience an uptick in snowfall this afternoon. Light snow is expected to become widespread in the mentioned areas, while the west side of Lower Michigan will have intermittent snow. Additional snow accumulation is expected, with one to two inches in the Grand Rapids area and two to four inches in northern Lower Michigan. Temperatures will drop during snowfall periods, making road conditions hazardous.
