Massive Beijing Subway Crash Injures Over 500

A rush hour collision between two subway trains in Beijing during heavy snowfall has left 102 people with broken bones and over 500 people sent to the hospital. Slippery tracks caused by the snowstorm led to a "signal degradation" and the first train braked suddenly, causing the following train to slam into it. The impact detached the last two carriages of one of the trains. No deaths were reported, but the incident sparked outrage among Chinese netizens, who questioned the maintenance and inspection of the Beijing Subway. The subway line affected by the incident has been closed, and road, rail, and air transport have been disrupted due to snowfall in Beijing.
