Tragic Plane Crash Claims Life of Rep. Mary Peltola's Husband in Alaska

Eugene Peltola Jr., the husband of Democratic Rep. Mary Peltola of Alaska, has died following a plane crash in Alaska. The crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board. Peltola, Alaska's only representative in the House and the first Alaska Native to serve in Congress, is returning home to be with her family. Tragic plane deaths have affected Alaska politicians in the past, including former Sen. Ted Stevens and Rep. Don Young.
