"Sunshine Protection Act: The Case for Permanent Daylight Saving Time"

Florida Senators Rick Scott and Marco Rubio are pushing for the bipartisan Sunshine Protection Act to make daylight saving time permanent, with 62% of Americans in favor of ending the time change. While federal law currently prevents states from following daylight saving time permanently, 28 bills have been introduced this year regarding daylight saving time, with about two dozen states considering enacting permanent daylight saving time if Congress allows such a change.
