Fort Bragg MPs Tasked to Prepare for Minneapolis Deployment

The Pentagon has issued a prepare-to-deploy order for a Fort Bragg–based Army military police brigade to ready for a possible deployment to Minneapolis, with a few hundred troops anticipated, supplementing last Friday’s orders for two battalions from the 11th Airborne Division. The move comes amid ongoing clashes involving immigration agents and protesters; if deployed inside the U.S., the personnel would generally be limited in civilian-law enforcement duties unless the Insurrection Act is invoked.
