Charged Pro-Trump Protestor Ray Epps Fuels Jan. 6 Conspiracy Theories

Ray Epps, the pro-Trump protester who has been the subject of right-wing conspiracy theories regarding the January 6 Capitol riot, has been charged with disorderly conduct for his actions on that day. Federal prosecutors filed a single count against Epps, noting that he was on restricted grounds at the U.S. Capitol during the riot. Epps, a former member of the right-wing Oath Keepers group, is scheduled for a plea agreement hearing on Wednesday. He has been at the center of false conspiracy theories suggesting the FBI provoked the riot, and he previously filed a defamation lawsuit against Fox News and Tucker Carlson.
