Teixeira, who faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted, posted dozens of secret documents on Discord, a social platform popular with gamers. The leaked documents included detailed US assessments of the war in Ukraine and operations to spy on US allies. The officers were aware of Teixeira's activities but failed to report them, and the lack of supervision during night shifts allowed him to access and print classified documents without detection. The Pentagon is now strengthening its security procedures, and the 102nd Intelligence Wing commander has been relieved of his command.
