North Korea's Military Pact Suspended, Spy Satellite Launch Successful

North Korea has announced the suspension of a 2018 military pact with South Korea and plans to deploy stronger armed forces and new weapons along the border. This comes after South Korea suspended part of the agreement in response to North Korea's launch of a spy satellite. North Korea accused South Korea of scrapping the deal and warned that Seoul would be held accountable if a clash occurs. The suspended pact, known as the Comprehensive Military Agreement, aimed to de-escalate tension between the two countries.
