Ukraine's 'Massive' Drone Strikes Trigger Russia-Ukraine War Escalation

Ukrainian drones have launched a "massive" attack on six regions deep inside Russia, including the military airfield in Pskov, damaging several warplanes. The strikes aim to disrupt supply lines and destroy equipment supporting Russian forces in Ukraine. Moscow typically downplays the damage caused by Ukrainian drone strikes but claimed its own forces attacked Ukrainian attack boats in the Black Sea. The increase in strikes inside Russia has brought the war closer to home for many Russians, while Ukraine reported shooting down 28 Russian missiles and 15 out of 16 drones fired overnight. The Kremlin has stated it will not conduct an international investigation into the plane crash that killed the founder of the Wagner mercenary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin.
