"Discover Effective Alternatives to Ineffective Cold Medicines"

Advisers to the Food and Drug Administration have determined that oral phenylephrine, a key ingredient in many over-the-counter cold medicines, does not work in clearing up a stuffy nose. Following this finding, CVS Health has stopped selling certain oral medicines containing the ineffective ingredient.
