Ford Slashes Electric F-150 Lightning Truck Prices by $10K

Ford has reduced the price of its electric pickup truck, the F-150 Lightning, by $6,000 to $10,000 due to improved access to raw materials for the battery and upgrades to its manufacturing facility. The price cuts partially reverse previous increases and aim to improve accessibility and affordability for customers. Ford offers seven models of the F-150 Lightning, with the least expensive now priced at $49,995 and the priciest at $91,995. The company plans to produce 150,000 trucks per year once upgrades to its factory are completed. The price reduction comes as automakers compete for customers interested in eco-friendly vehicles, and Ford faces competition from Tesla's Cybertruck and Rivian's R1T truck.
