Elon Musk Proposes Tesla's Move to Texas

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the company will move its legal registration to Texas following an online poll, with 87.1 percent of participants in favor. The electric car company, already headquartered in Texas, has had a falling out with Delaware, where it was previously incorporated. The move aligns with Tesla's existing operations in Texas and Musk's apparent preference for the state's social policies. To effect the change, Musk will need to register the company in Texas before legally dissolving it in Delaware.
