GM's Chevy Bolt Leads EV Sales in Q2 Despite Overall Decline

The Chevy Bolt EV and EUV continue to be the mainstay of General Motors' electric vehicle lineup, with sales doubling year-over-year. However, sales of the Bolt have declined from the first quarter. GM plans to end production of the Bolt EV and EUV by the end of the year as it transitions to an all-Ultium-based EV lineup. The company is facing challenges with battery production, impacting the sales of other electric models like the Hummer EV and Cadillac Lyriq. GM aims to launch three new Ultium-based electric models by the end of the year, including the Silverado EV, Blazer EV, and Equinox EV.
