The unveiling of a nearly 200-year-old time capsule at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point initially disappointed viewers as it appeared to contain only dirt. However, further examination by an archaeologist revealed six silver coins dating from 1795 to 1828 and a commemorative medal from 1826. The box, discovered during repairs to a monument, is believed to date back to 1828 and its contents are still being investigated.
