Rocket motors for Space Shuttle Endeavour transported through Los Angeles streets for Science Center exhibit

Two massive rocket motors arrived at the California Science Center in Los Angeles, completing their journey from the Mojave Desert. The motors will be part of the vertical display of the Space Shuttle Endeavour at the center's new Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center. The display, which will include the shuttle, rocket boosters, and an external fuel tank, will be the only vertical, launch-ready configuration of a shuttle in the world. Visitors have until the end of December to see the shuttle in its current horizontal position.
