Sega Aims for Classic Comeback: Sonic's Success Inspires Revival of Iconic Games

Sega, buoyed by the success of its Sonic the Hedgehog movie adaptations, is looking to bring more of its classic video game franchises to other platforms, including movies and the gaming platform Roblox. Sega's Chief Operating Officer, Shuji Utsumi, mentioned the possibility of adapting IPs like Yakuza and Persona. The company is also seeking to expand its ownership of gaming studios through acquisitions. Utsumi dismissed rumors of a potential Microsoft acquisition, stating that Sega has no intention of being sold to another party.
