2023 Solar Eclipse: Best Spots in New Mexico and Texas for Spectacular Views

A new map has been released highlighting the best spots to view the 2023 solar eclipse in New Mexico. The eclipse, which will be an annular eclipse, will be visible at 90% in places like Farmington, Albuquerque, Roswell, and Hobbs, while other areas such as Carlsbad will see it at 80%. Some recommended viewing spots include Glade Run Recreation Area in Farmington, Petroglyph National Monument and Rio Grande Nature Center State Park in Albuquerque, Bottomless Lakes State Park in Roswell, and McAdams Park in Hobbs. The eclipse will occur between 10:35 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. MDT on October 14, 2023.
