Asus Urges Immediate Firmware Update for Critical Router Flaws.

Asus has released urgent firmware updates to address at least nine security defects and multiple security weaknesses in its WiFi router product lines, including a highly critical bug with a CVSS severity rating of 9.8/10 that exposes routers to code execution attacks. The company has warned users of the risk of remote code execution attacks and strongly recommends that users periodically audit both their equipment and security procedures to stave off a wave of malware attacks targeting router infrastructure.
