Bonobo Ape Masters Video Games in Groundbreaking Study

Kanzi, a 42-year-old Bonobo, has been taught how to play Minecraft by YouTuber ChrisDaCow at a US research facility. In a video, Kanzi is shown progressing from using arrows to point to loot on the ground to tapping on a touchscreen to move and look around. The ape enjoys playing Minecraft and even had a surprise interaction with YouTuber TommyInnit, who praised Kanzi's gameplay. While not as skilled as humans, Kanzi's abilities continue to impress, and with more practice, he may become even more proficient in the game.
