Joe Schilling cleared of charges in self-defense bar incident.

MMA fighter Joe Schilling has been granted immunity from a civil lawsuit filed by Justin Balboa, who he knocked out in a Florida restaurant. The court found that Schilling was justified in striking Balboa under Florida's Stand Your Ground law because he "reasonably believed" Balboa "posed a threat of great bodily harm to himself." Balboa had sued Schilling for damages in excess of $30,000, claiming he was "viciously attacked, physically struck and assaulted" during an altercation. Schilling's attorney said the decision was "a complete and total victory" for his client.
