Former Arizona Diamondbacks player and coach, Matt Williams, has been diagnosed with colon cancer and will undergo surgery on Friday. Williams, who is currently the third base coach for the San Diego Padres, learned about his condition three weeks ago but has no symptoms. Preliminary scans show that the cancer hasn't spread, and Williams plans to fight as hard as he can to get back to the team as quickly as possible.
