Orca Launches Seal Sky-High Amidst Seagulls

A male orca belonging to the TO69s family off the U.S. West Coast was captured on camera flinging a harbor seal approximately 70 feet into the air, stunning onlookers. The event, which occurred eight years ago off Port Angeles in Washington State, was recently shared by researcher Alisa Schulman-Janiger. The orca, known as TO69C, was about 20 years old at the time and successfully tossed the seal after three failed attempts. The footage of the incident has sparked debate about the height of the seal at its apex, with the estimated 70 feet considered conservative.
