Persian Astronaut Captures Stunning Images of Iran from Space

NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli, whose parents are Iranian, captured a series of stunning aerial photos of Iran from the International Space Station (ISS), expressing that it may be the closest she will ever get to her parents' birthplace. Moghbeli had been eager to photograph Tehran but faced challenges due to work schedules, lighting conditions, and clouds. Finally, she was able to capture some decent photos, allowing her to connect with her parents and trace their early lives in Iran. Moghbeli's parents fled to Germany during the 1979 Iranian revolution before settling in the United States.
