"Wintry Weather Alert: Michigan Road Crews Prepare for Multiple Rounds of Snow"

A powerful storm moving over the southern Great Lakes will bring wet, heavy snow to West Michigan, potentially causing challenging driving conditions and highway headaches for morning commuters. Winter Weather Advisories have been issued, with up to three inches of quick accumulations expected, particularly north of I-96. As warmer air moves in, temperatures will rise, changing the precipitation from snow to rain south of I-96, while north of the Interstate, wet snow and higher accumulations are expected. Strong winds with gusts up to 40 miles per hour are also anticipated.
