Weather Outlook: Scattered Showers, Storms, and Cooler Air Expected

Eastern Iowa will experience scattered showers and storms today as a cold front passes through, with the risk of severe storms diminishing. Isolated heavy downpours are still possible. Cooler air will settle in, bringing mostly clear skies and lower temperatures in the 50s at night. Thursday and Friday will have widespread sunshine and highs in the upper 70s. A chance of showers and storms returns on Friday night into Saturday, but the chance for storms later in the weekend has been removed from the forecast. Next week will see more chances for showers and storms as an active weather pattern persists.
