"Tornadoes Ravage New York, State of Emergency Declared"

At least four tornadoes struck New York on Tuesday, causing significant damage in Rome, Oneida County, and affecting remote areas in Hamilton and Warren counties. The National Weather Service is likely to investigate the Rome tornado due to its impact. The weather system also caused straight-line winds, with gusts up to 87 mph in Glens Falls, and left over 9,000 customers without power in the NBC5 viewing area, including parts of Southern Vermont, Essex County, and Sullivan County, New Hampshire.
