Hot weather with highs near 90 degrees Fahrenheit is expected for much of the week in southern and western Minnesota due to a heat dome. There is a developing chance of rain and thunderstorms by late this week, with potentially several 90 degree days before that. However, surface level ozone could become an issue due to hot, sunny days and light winds, leading to unhealthy air for sensitive groups in central and southern Minnesota by Tuesday afternoon.
