Severe Weather Strikes Metro Detroit: Hail, Wind, and Tornadoes Threaten

Severe storms are expected to hit Southeast Michigan on Friday, with the potential for hazardous conditions including strong winds, hail, and a low tornado threat. The Storm Prediction Center has placed Michigan under a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for severe weather. Wind gusts could exceed 60 mph, hail greater than 1 inch in size is possible, and there is a chance for a weak, isolated tornado.
